Pescara president Daniele Sebastiani admits PSG midfielder Marco Verratti turned down AS Roma.

It's no secret that the player rejected Milan as a youth, but it now appears that he also snubbed the capital city outfit.

"He was destined to become a great and he deserves everything that he has received so far in his career," Sebastiani said.

"Two years ago, a deal with Roma for him was practically done, but it was Marco himself who turned them down in favour of staying at Pescara."
