Pescara have made a move for released AS Roma legend Francesco Totti.

However, the relegated outfit want Totti to TRIAL first in preseason!

Despite it being expected he could look to continue playing in the US or perhaps even China, Pescara, who were relegated from the Italian top flight this season, have thrown their hat into the ring.

Speaking to Radio Due, their manager Zdenek Zemen said: “Totti still wants to play, and they want him over in the US.

“He shouldn't be going into any ambassadorial role just yet, he needs to play and I hope he can do so in a major team.

“I spoke with him last week and he still wants to play, but it all depends on the conditions.

“I believe he still wants a competitive challenge, and to that end I'm always happy to give him a trial."

Zeman managed Totti twice during spells with Roma, from 1997–1999 and from 2012–2013.
