Perth Glory defender Brent Griffiths has been hit with a one-match ban, handed down by the Match Review Panel.

The 20-year old centre-half was given a red card in Sunday's 2-0 loss to Perth Glory for a late challenge on Alex Brosque and will now miss tomorrow night's midweek clash with Brisbane Roar.

The panel determined Griffiths was guilty of "denying the opposing team a clear goal scoring opportunity" in the 90th minute of the clash at Parramatta Stadium.
