Perth Glory v Adelaide United preview

One win in 16 does not bode well for Perth Glory who are all alone at the bottom of the A-League table.

The Western Australian club cannot take a trick in recent times and their bad luck/poor form continued on Saturday night when they lost 2-0 to Melbourne Victory.

No matter which players coach Ian Ferguson uses, the Glory cannot seem to find a winning formula and after such a positive start, their season has fallen by the wayside.

Tomorrow night they are in the comfort of nib Stadium but take on an Adelaide United side who dropped all three points to the Melbourne Heart on Friday night when they seemingly had both hands on the prize before two late goals.

That loss was the Reds' second in three matches but did not change the fact they are sitting clear in second place and they will be keen to bounce back here with a very winnable fixture.

The loss of Daniel Mullen for the season is a shame but will be offset by the return of centre-half Robert Cornthwaite who will lead the defence with Iain Fyfe, which doubled with the scoring form of Sergio van Dijk, should prove too much to handle for the Glory.

Verdict: Reds 2-1
