The visiting side took a shock lead after only one minute when Roar defender McCloughan scored a disastrous own goal.
Wayne Srhoj made it 2-0 just before the interval, capitalising on a defensive mix-up in the Roar defence.
Henrique pulled one back for the home side after the break, but 10 minutes later Perth striker Jelic made it 3-1.
Brisbane made it 3-2 thanks to van Dijk three minutes later, before another own goal, this time from Roar keeper Liam Reddy completed the scoring.
