Former Chelsea and Arsenal defender William Gallas has no regrets over his move to Perth Glory.
The French ace made his debut for Glory yesterday in their 1-1 draw with Adelaide United.
Gallas admits he spoke to Crystal Palace before signing with the Aussie outfit: "Crystal Palace? A lot of things were rumoured. I had a few contacts, but not as many as were rumoured. Anyway, it was the right time to start something new.
"I never thought about hanging up by boots. I felt I could do another year at the same level in a team where I wouldn't be under any pressure.
"If I stayed in Europe, I would have liked to join a club to be a substitute.
"For example at Marseille, I would have been happy to do that. I told their officials. I didn't want big wages. I would have been there to help the young players and play when needed. I would have loved to end my career at Marseille.
"Why didn't it happen? You will have to ask them."
