Perth Glory's Harnwell to miss two

Perth Glory veteran Jamie Harnwell has been suspended for two matches following an incident in Wednesday night's 2-1 loss to Central Coast Mariners.

Harnwell elbowed Mariners forward Matt Simon in an aerial dual in the 28th minute of the nib Stadium clash and was shown a straight red card by referee Ryan Shepheard.

The independent Match Review Panel found Harnwell had committed an offence, namely Serious Foul Play (eg when challenging for the ball) and has proposed a sanction of two matches.

Perth Glory have until 1.00pm (AEDT) tomorrow, 21 January 2011, to accept the proposed sanction or refer the matter to a hearing by the FFA Disciplinary Committee.

At this stage, Harnwell will miss Sunday's clash with Wellington Phoenix and next weekend's home match against Sydney FC.
