Perth Glory retain 'new left-back' Sekulovski

Left-back Naum Sekulovski has pledged his future to Perth Glory by signing for the next two seasons.

The 26-year old forced his way into the first team as Dave Mitchell's number one full-back last season and he is keen to improve even further in that role.

"Last season was a real positive for me; I enjoyed playing at left-back and think it's a position that I can make my own and hopefully that will also assist the team to reach the finals next season," said Sekulovski.

"Being able to play in a position consistently was beneficial for me and I always got the backing of 'Mitch' [head coach Dave Mitchell] and the other coaches, which helped the transition to left-back."

Mitchell admitted to playing Sekulovski everywhere in the early days but believes he has found him a niche.

"Naum has been shipped all over the place in the past but I've said to him that I want him in the left-back position and we'll work with him over the pre-season to ensure he continues to develop into that important role for the club," Mitchell said.

"He showed some excellent signs last season and will only get better with the more time he spends playing there.

"Naum is passionate about the club and gives his all at training and in games. I'm pleased that he'll be around for the next couple of seasons."
