Perth Glory owner Sage calls out to Western Australian fans

Perth Glory owner Tony Sage has made a call to football fans in Western Australia to support Wednesday night's double header. The Glory will host two English Premier League clubs, Fulham and Wolves, at Members Equity Stadium this Wednesday July 15 and Sage wants a massive turnout to help the club's bid for a stadium upgrade.

Perth will take on Fulham whilst North Queensland Fury meets Wolves in a midweek double header that is sure to receive interest but Sage has implored fans to come in droves to see a once-in-a-lifetime event.

"The decision makers need to see that a redeveloped Member's Equity Stadium will be utilised by the Perth public," Sage said.

"As a club we are doing everything we can to convince the State Government that we need a stadium that is capable of hosting the best teams from around the globe, including World Cup games, however the support of the public is the critical element.

"We have two teams from the world's best football competition in town to play on the one night, that's unprecedented in this state. All the ingredients are there and now it is up to West Australians to vote with their feet.

"I'm looking forward to a massive night for football in Western Australia."

Tickets will be available at the gate and can also be bought by calling 136 100 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.au.
