Perth Glory get the job done against Brisbane Roar

Perth Glory have done enough to get another win on the board, defeating the Brisbane Roar 2-0 at home. The win ensured the Glory would head into their first finals series with a morale boosting win whilst the Roar's season finished as it began with a disappointing loss.

Perth got the ascendency within the first ten minutes when Scott Neville found space in the area and finished neatly after a cross from the right flank.

With a high percentage of the play, the Glory pressed for a second goal as the Roar searched for an equaliser so they could at least pull themselves up to 7th on the table.

After a disappointing season, the Roar were hoping to go out on a high but those hopes were shattered in the 70th minute when substitute Scott Bulloch hit the back of the net, essentially ending the contest.

The win did not do anything to change the Glory's position from fifth meaning they will take on Wellington Phoenix in a minor semi-final at Westpac Stadium next weekend.
