Ian Ferguson does not believe his players lack discipline after being shown seven yellow cards and one red in last night's 2-0 loss to Adelaide United.

The hapless Glory slumped to their ninth loss in their past 10 matches despite a bright start to the game which was marred by a high number of cautions plus the sending-off of Naum Sekulovski for a second bookable offence just after the hour-mark.

But Ferguson distanced his club from having ill-discipline, preferring to question some of the decisions made by the referee.

"I don't think discipline is a problem from my team," Ferguson said.

"We have had a lot of yellow cards in the last three or four weeks and some of them are for kicking balls away and some of them are trying to speak to the referee.

"It has got to be about common sense.

"They are booking players left, right and centre, and it's crazy at times, I just wish a player could be allowed to speak to somebody."

The Glory will need to harness their aggression at the ball when they take on the Melbourne Victory at home on Sunday as their search for their first win in more than two months.
