Struggling A-League club Perth Glory are struggling to field a team for Sunday’s away clash with North Queensland Fury.

The Glory, who have lost 11 of their past 13 matches, had two players sent off in last night’s 3-2 loss to Brisbane Roar and with five confirmed injuries/illnesses, life is tough ahead of the match in Townsville.

Head coach Ian Ferguson feels that the heavy schedule his team has experienced in the last four weeks has certainly contributed to the unavailability of a large chunk of his playing roster.

“It’s not been easy on the lads,” Ferguson said.

“Other clubs are in a similar position with games played but the extra distance we have to travel makes it extremely difficult on the players.

“We have a lot of very tired bodies and the Fury game will be another big challenge because right now I’m sure if we’ll have enough fit players.”

The Glory will get some relief through the return of young defender Brent Griffiths from suspension but will be without Josh Mitchell and Scott Neville, who received reds last night, Andy Todd and Jamie Hanrwell, who are both injured, whilst Naum Sekulovski, Jamie Coyne and Mile Sterjovski are all in doubt.
