Tottenham legend Steve Perryman can see more Japanese players coming onto the radar of Premiership clubs.
Spurs' record appearance maker is perfectly placed to run the rule over Japan having successfully managed J League sides Shimizu S-Pulse and Kashiwa Reysol between 1996-2002. He won the title and the Asian Cup Winners Cup with S-Pulse.
Perryman told hotspur magazine: "I can certainly see more emerging as they've been showing at the World Cup.
"Don't forget a lot of good international sides were left at home, but they are in South Africa and deserve credit.
"The big difference in my time there was the size of their back-up staff, particularly on the medical side.
"And when they wanted something they simply found the best example in the world and copied it, as one club showed by going to AC Milan and replicating their training ground."
