Simone Perrotta admits Roma's players celebrated wildly after their derby victory over Lazio.

The Giallorossi snatched a late winner with Marco Cassetti to beat rivals Lazio and move into joint fifth place.

"I have never seen euphoria like it in the locker room, it was more than after any Final triumph," said the midfielder.

"Cassetti deserves all this excitement and to enjoy a night like this. The team has rediscovered itself through its football.

"All the bad luck we had at the start of the season is now coming back positively. It was a bit of an ugly game and a draw may well have been the right result.

"Julio Sergio's save on Stefano Mauri when it was still 0-0 proved absolutely decisive, while Juan has lifted the quality of the defence.

"When [Coach Claudio] Ranieri has a full squad to choose from, the whole team benefits."
