Perk dropped by Philadelphia Union

Goalkeeper Brian Perk has been released by Philadelphia Union without making a first team appearance for the club.

The 21-year old was selected with the 49th overall pick by the Union in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft but the club has decided to waive him.

Perk appeared in the Union's recent friendlies with Celtic and Manchester United but could not crack the first team and has now been sent on his way.
