Chelsea skipper John Terry has suffered one setback this week after leading England to back-to-back World Cup qualifying victories.
The Mirror says Terry's plans to add a gym, sauna and pool to his country mansion have been rejected by planners.
The £135,000-a-week Chelsea star wanted a two-storey side extension at his home in Oxshott, Surrey. But after locals objected, Elmbridge council turned down the proposals.
The council said it didn't "respect the degree of spaciousness to site boundaries, characteristic of properties in the area".
Terry, 28, has now lodged revised plans.
