Florentino Perez wants to bring Inter Milan fullback Douglas Maicon to Real Madrid next season.

The Brazil international is regarded as one of the best right-backs in the world and Perez wants to sign him for Real so he can pair Sergio Ramos at the heart of the defence alongside Pepe next season.

Luis Suarez, who works as a scout for Inter, told AS that Maicon would be a great signing for Real.

"In the early months of the season with his enthusiasm on the wing and his ability to create goals, he became very valuable. He's physically very strong and has great technical ability. A good player," said Suarez.

Inter may be prepared to cash in on Maicon, 28, after the emergence of 18 year-old Davide Santon this season.
