Florentino Perez is being tipped to challenge Ramon Calderon for the Real Madrid presidency.
Former Real candidate Juan Palacios, while ruling himself out of the upcoming elections and also rubbishing the prospects of Juan Villalonga, declared that Perez could make a shock return.
"It may happen with Florentino," said Palacios. "I have heard about this dream. He is very much a Real Madrid man and there is a good chance of him coming back."
However, Palacios also insisted Calderon deserved full support from fans and members.
"We have to let him work. He changed the team, he won two consecutive league titles and is doing good things. You have to leave him to work. In nearly three years he has won two leagues titles and I think that is positive."
