Real Madrid president Florentino Perez rebuked Jose Mourinho after the coach declared the Liga title "impossible" to defend. Mourinho made the comments after their draw with Espanyol left them 13 points behind leaders Barcelona.
Perez was upset by Mourinho's reaction and declared at a function this week: "Real Madrid never gives up in football, no matter how difficult the challenge. One should not surrender in sport nor in life."
