Pepe insists his future is with Real Madrid.

The Portugal international is aware of reports that fellow defender Fabio Cannavaro has agreed to return to Juventus at the end of the season.

"Currently he forms part of Madrid. We must wait until the new president comes and then things can be cleared up as quickly as possible," said Pepe, who added of his own future: "I am well and happy in Madrid.

"Everything has its time. My desire has always been to become someone very important to Madrid, I want my name placed alongside the best.

"This can only be achieved through hard work."
