After victory over Betis, Real Madrid defender Pepe wasn't shying away from their title prospects.

Upon hearing of Barcelona's shock defeat to Espanyol, Pepe declared: "It was a spectacular match. We have played an incredible game. Now we were seven points from Barcelona.

"There's a long way to go and we must continue to play like this and then wait to see what happens. All the players are very happy and enjoyed the atmosphere of the Bernabeu."
