Jermaine Pennant has returned to Stoke City from his loan with Wolves.

Stoke No2 Dave Kemp acknowledged that Pennant earned mixed reviews at Molineux after starting 10 matches and adding a further five substitute appearances.

"I don't think he played as much as he would have liked," said Kemp, "but he comes back a Stoke player and we take things from there.

"It hasn't been the easiest of times because results haven't been great, so it doesn't sound as though he was a roaring success."
