Stoke City winger Jermaine Pennant wants to help the club into Europe.
It is 35 years since Stoke qualified for the old UEFA Cup but Pennant, 26, sees no reason why the team built by Tony Pulis cannot repeat the feat.
He said: "Playing in Europe would be great. I've played in the Champions League but anything now would be a bonus.
"I know that we are not mathematically safe from relegation but we have a great chance of staying in the top half. We have set our best standard yet and we could have our best season yet."
