Jermaine Pennant is convinced Stoke City fans will rattle Europa League opponents Besiktas.

Stoke go into tomorrow's Europa League clash defending an outstanding home record.

In Europe they have beaten Hajduk Split and FC Thun and are unbeaten at home in the league with a win over Liverpool and draws against Chelsea and Manchester United.

They also sent Spurs packing in the Carling Cup.

Pennant said: "If you had said before the start of the season that we would take five points from Liverpool, Chelsea and United, people would have laughed in your face and said you were crazy.

"But nobody likes coming to our place and that includes the champions. I would hate to be an away team coming here now.

"Teams don't like it because they know it is a fortress and the noise the crowd make here is another big factor."
