Penarol right back Guillermo Varela is training with Manchester United.
The Daily Mail says the 20-year-old has been invited over for a two week trial and has started training with the first team.
Varela is expected to play for Uruguay in the World U20 Championships this summer.
He has yet to establish himself in Penarol's first team but is seen as one for the future.
