Villarreal coach Manuel Pellegrini insists they kept Cristiano Ronaldo quiet on his Manchester United comeback night.

"When a player enters the game fresh - and your name is Ronaldo - you are going to influence the game," said the Chilean. "But Manchester did not do much with him, nor without him."
