New Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has promised fans attacking football. Pellegrini has attacking options envied around Europe in his star- studded squad - and he intends to maximise them.
He said: "We are not going to be a team that scores a goal then goes back waiting for a counter-attack.
"We will try to always play in the opponent's half of the pitch and play attractive football.
"I have one month before I start, I have a lot to do to start the new season, to work with the players and see how far we can advance. I am sure we are going to have a very good season."
Pellegrini insists he will have no problems getting to know the ins and outs of English football at the top table.
He said: "I can tell fans here that I work very hard, I am very persistent.
"I always get the best out of players that work with me.
"Together, with my way of working, the wonderful players and all the fans, I think we can do a great job for the City supporters. That's what I can tell them. I'm 100 per cent sure I will not have any problems being in the Premier League.
"I've worked in four different countries in my career - Chile, Argentina, Ecuador and Spain. I've been in Spain for nine years.
"I know a lot about the Premier League. I've played against Manchester United twice, against Arsenal. I always see a match every weekend. I won't have any problems."
