The Daily Star Sunday says new signings Jesus Navas, Fernandinho and Alvaro Negredo will start English lessons after the club's pre-season tour.
And even players like David Silva and Sergio Aguero have been told to improve their English - even though they have been at the club for three and two years respectively.
Chilean Pellegrini is fluent in English, despite this being his first job in the country.
