Incoming Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini disagrees with the assessment of football chief Txiki Begiristain over last season's failure.
The Sunday Mirror says Pellegrini hosted a meeting that included City sporting director Begiristain last Monday.
He explained that City's failure to mount a title defence was due to a lack of goals, but Pellegrini feels the scoring burden should not just be carried by the strikers.
Which is why Jesus Navas and Fernandinho have both been recruited.
