Pellegrini: I won't change Man City tactics

Manuel Pellegrini insists he will not alter his Manchester City side's attacking style.

The reigning Premier League champions have been criticised for not being solid enough through midfield and in defence in their past two defeats at the hands of Barcelona and Liverpool.

However, Chilean tactician Pellegrini has had success in the past in Ecuador, Argentina and in England's top flight last season with an attacking approach which he says he will not sacrifice simply to save his own skin.

"I can win titles but if I am not happy with the way my team is playing then maybe I will not continue at a club," he said.

"Of course, it is very important to win titles but there are lot more things that I analyse about my management and just as important for me is the way you win them.

"When you are winning you are doing everything the best way. When you don't win maybe you do all the things in a bad way. (Jose) Mourinho just won the Capital One Cup but this time last year we won it and maybe then I was doing all the things correct.

"There are different ways to win titles but I prefer my style because you win more titles this way. I know what is best for this team and it is important we don't change."
