Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini intends to be in charge for next season.

Pellegrini says he's already planning preseason training and ruled out stepping down if Real win the Liga this term.

"No, the opposite," he replied. "I came to Madrid for the challenge. I do not accept people criticising our play because I demonstrated this at Villarreal. My challenge is that it is not an economic issue.

"I even had better offers than those of Madrid. The more criticism and challenges, the more I improve."
