Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is hoping for some good news on the injury front before Saturday's Premier League clash with Tottenham.
City currently have the likes of captain Vincent Kompany, star playmaker David Silva, right-back Pablo Zabaleta, centre-back Eliaquim Mangala, midfielders Samir Nasri and Fabian Delph and left-back Gael Clichy on the treatment table.
When asked about the status of the injury that kept skipper Kompany out of Tuesday night's 4-1 Capital One Cup win over Sunderland, Pellegrini replied: "We will see from now to Saturday which players can recover.
"We have a lot of injured players - at least eight. I hope we can recover at least some of them."
