Manuel Pellegrini is pushing Manchester City to prise Stephan El Shaarawy away from AC Milan.

City have already failed with a cash-plus-Carlos Tevez bid for the Italy international in recent days.

But they're expected to return to the negotiating table, says Sportitalia, on the insistence of Pellegrini.

The Chilean is a big fan of El Shaarawy and has told City directors to do all they can to bring the young striker to the Etihad this summer.
