Manuel Pellegrini believes Manchester City boast the Premier League's best strikeforce, reports The Guardian. The Chilean has added new signings Stevan Jovetic and Álvaro Negredo to the ranks that already included Sergio Agüero and Edin Dzeko.
Speaking after City beat South China 1-0 at the Hong Kong Stadium to reach Saturday's Asia Trophy final against Sunderland, Pellegrini was asked if his squad would have the most potent forwards in next season's Premier League.
"I think so, yes, very strong. That's correct," he said. "I think we have very good strikers with Dzeko as well. They can play together or we can play one of them with Jovetic or Agüero. We have four very good strikers and that's very necessary if we want to play in the Premier League and Champions League as a competitive team."
