Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini concedes there's plenty of room for improvement after yesterday's 1-1 draw with Al-Ittihad.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema produced low-key performances, with Raul being needed to pop up with a goal for the hosts. The home crowd grew in frustration during the 90 minutes and booed and whistled towards the end.
"I'm happy because it is pre-season match," said Pellegrini. "At this time of year it is normal to perform like this and of course there are many things to improve.
"I saw good things and bad, but not in time to improve. We are now working only on fitness and soon will enter the phase of accuracy and speed."
He added: "I'm not scared by the results. At this time of the season you do not think about them. They are incidental, but I hope we win all the matches. This will not change our methods or planning."
