Incoming Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini risks arriving at a club without a main striker.

The Daily Star says Carlos Tevez, 29, is keeping his options open but has told friends he would like a new challenge in Europe.

He knows he holds all the aces considering he could see out his deal with City and leave for nothing next summer.

Losing Tevez would be a blow to Pellegrini with both Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero also facing uncertain futures.

Chelsea are keen on Dzeko while Real Madrid are also weighing up a bid for Aguero.
