Pele insists Neymar can surpass Barcelona star Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona as one of the game's greats. The Santos ace is expected to eventually move to Barca.

And Pele declared: "Neymar can become better than both Messi and Maradona. He has the qualities to do so.

"But he has to mature.

"Sometimes he does not act properly regarding certain responsibilities."

Pele continued his criticism of Messi and Maradona.

"Argentines always get upset when I talk. Maradona only played with the left foot and in the air he was not very strong.

"Messi? He is more or less a copy of him."
