Soccer legend Pele has made the intentions of reformed franchise New York Cosmos extremely clear.
The former Brazil superstar is heavily involved in the second coming of the club who were significant in USA soccer back in the 1970s.
Now, Pele and the rest of the assemble cast which has been put together are looking to move into MLS within two years time and the former Cosmos player is excited about the prospect.
"We are back with the Cosmos and it is a new challenge - we hope to join Major League Soccer in 2013," he said.
"It is also something different for me. On the field, I always knew what to do. But as Honorary President, I don't know what to do yet!"
And Pele, who was at the forefront of the club when they were at their peak, says being able to continue working with the sport is basically a dream come true for him.
"Football has given me this opportunity to travel and to make friends all over the world," he added. "I'm lucky in that no matter where I go, I always seem to have a job!"
