Pele says LA Galaxy handled the arrival of England star David Beckham all wrong.

Former Manchester United and Real Madrid star Beckham has endured a torrid time since joining LA Galaxy and Pele said: "The way they introduced him was bad for him.

"I had almost the same experience but for me it was different when I was playing for Cosmos - I had Franz Beckenbauer.

"The problem with Beckham is he's not a natural goalscorer.

"They introduced him as a player who was going to score goals and win matches and that is very tough for him. That's a problem."
