Pejic urges Stoke to buy attacking pace

Stoke City hero Mike Pejic has urged manager Mark Hughes to sign attacking pace next month.

Pejic wrote in The Sentinel: "What Hughes needs to sign in January has to be a player with a bit of pace to turn and stretch back lines.

"It's no coincidence that Sergio Aguero and Luis Suarez, the talk of the town right now, have that speed off the mark to open up defences.

"And if you have that kind of player stretching the play, it can also involve your wide men instead of leaving them static and waiting for the ball out on the wing."
