Barcelona striker Pedro admits he considered leaving the Nou Camp before last season's success.

Now part of Spain's World Cup squad, Pedro confessed he considered returning home to Tenerife.

"The truth is yes," said Pedro. "At one point I had two options on the table. Always in my mind was to head back, because they were very difficult times, but on the other side was to continue, hold on because it was such a great club.

"This gave me the strength to continue."
