After defeat to Liverpool, Morten Gamst Pedersen is confident Blackburn can turn the corner, starting against Wigan on Saturday.

He twice came close to making the breakthrough in the first half, but goalkeeper Jose Reina was equal to both his efforts.

Pedersen said: "We did really well and had the biggest chances before they scored.

"In football sometimes things do not roll your way and the small decisions don't go your way - but we are getting closer and closer."
