Blackburn Rovers midfielder Morten Gamst Pedersen hopes the club can hang onto all of its key players this winter.
The likes of Chris Samba, Junior Hoilett and Steven Nzonzi have all attracted interest from rival clubs but Pedersen feels it vital that these types of players remain at Ewood Park as Rovers begin their climb out of the drop zone.
"Everybody is contracted to the club. We have to play the strongest team every week, and if people get sold or bought in that is a part of life.
"For us at the moment, I think it's important for us to keep the best players and try to be safe.
"We just have to work hard and that's the main thing, it's tough for everybody, the manager and the fans and everyone associated with Blackburn Rovers.
"In the end, we want to get out of this position, but we know it will be hard work and it won't be easy.""We have to play with the players we have got," he told Sky Sports News.
