Morten Gamst Pedersen believes Blackburn Rovers can break the dominance of the Big Four and earn a Champions League place.

The 25-year-old feels that boss Mark Hughes has a squad capable of making the breakthrough in the Premiership race and is confident the side can lay down a marker for the rest of the season with victory against Arsenal on Sunday.

"The Champions League will always be the target," said the Norwegian ace.

"Two years ago, we were only two points away or something, so we know it can be possible.

"So if we can have a good start to the season, it might become a more realistic possibility."
