New Silkeborg signing Henrik Pedersen is backing former club Hull City to survive the Premiership drop.

"It is always difficult for the promoted teams but the team spirit is there for sure" Pedersen told the Hull Daily Mail.

"I know from my time at Bolton that if you've got a team where everyone works hard for each other, then you've got a chance of doing well.

"It's about enjoying the games against the big teams and if you can pick up points there, then it's just a bonus.

"It's against the lower teams and those around you where you need to pick up points the most.

"The gaffer has been in this situation before with Bolton and he knows what is required in the first season and what the players need to do."
