Pearson reveals exciting Derby market plans

Derby County chairman Adam Pearson has promised fans exciting changes to the squad for next season's Championship campaign.

"We have been working hard for a long time now to get the squad right for next season," Pearson told the Derby Evening Telegraph.

"Obviously, only the players going out on loan are showing at the minute but there are a lot of deals being sorted out now for players coming in the summer and we are extremely confident that we will have a very, very strong squad for the Championship.

"Everybody hates failure and hates being relegated, but if we come back stronger, that is the overall game-plan. We are trying to be strong, we are trying to grow together. Everybody is finding out about each other - owners, manager, players.

"I thought there were signs in the Fulham game that looked good for next season and if we can get the recruitment right in the summer, we will be straight back, I'm sure."
