Pearson looking for right balance as Leicester go into Chelsea clash with plenty at stake

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson is looking for the right balance in his line-up for the all-important Premier League clash against Chelsea tonight.

The Foxes have played positive football in their run of four consecutive wins but Pearson said his side would have to take a different mindset into the contest with the champions-elect.

"All season I have spoken about us having positive intent in games but without being gung-ho," he said.

"If you go into it with a too cavalier attitude it can prove to be a difficult game, it is about getting the balance right.

"The game down at their place (a 2-0 defeat for City in August) was a good example of a thoroughly professional performance on their part.

"We had our chances and didn't take them, and from an hour onwards they dominated. When you come up against the top sides, you have to be at your absolute maximum.

"We will try to cause them problems but with an understanding of what they are about. It is no surprise they are where they are in the league, they have an exceptional squad.

"We go into this latter part of season and they are trying to win the league, and we are trying to stay in the league, so there is a lot riding on it for both sides."
