Pearson confident Hull can win promotion thanks to Man Utd influence

Hull City boss Nigel Pearson is confident of their promotion chances thanks to the influence of Manchester United.

When Robbie Brady, 19, joined Hull on a season-long loan deal three weeks ago, he became the FIFTH capture from the League Champions in nine months.

The others are Corry Evans, James Chester, Cameron Stewart and Joe Dudgeon. City kick off the new campaign at home to Blackpool tonight.

And Pearson declared: "We aim to be in the battle to go up.

"We know we have got quality in the squad but in this division you cannot afford too many bad days.

"It is probably the toughest one to get out of going up."
