Former Hull City chairman Adam Pearson is set to join Derby County as new chief executive officer.

Pearson is buying a huge chunk of chairman Peter Gadsby's shares for around £3 million, but will also be the man who runs the day-to-day side of the club on a huge salary, says the People.

The move comes after the ex-Hull City chairman failed to buy the club and the exit of chief exec Trevor Birch.
