According to reports, Stuart Pearce is set to join the backroom staff at West Ham United under new manager David Moyes.
During his introductory interview on Wednesday, Moyes revealed that he had already spoken to Pearce, who has previously managed West Ham as well as the England under 21 national team.
Moyes said: "I'm in talks with a couple of people, Stuart Pearce being one of them. Hopefully I will have something settled by the end of the week."
The majority of the clubs backroom staff left when Slaven Bilic was sacked last Monday.
The Hammers meanwhile are currently languishing in 18th position on the league standings after taking nine points from 11 games.
